Entry requirements

To enrol on this NCFE Level 4 Advanced HLTA course, you need to be already working or volunteering in a school at Level 3 to enrol on this Level 4 course.

NCFE recommends 100 hours of practical experience in the school classroom for between 3 – 6 hours per week. This observation can be completed by a qualified teacher, assessor, or a higher management level.

No formal qualifications are required.
A school placement is required.
You must be over 16 years of age.
