Displays can take the form of useful reference material to support pupil learning, such as letters of the alphabet and number lines. Display material can also include information that is important for students to memorise, such as number tables, formulae, spellings and other important factual information.

Entry Requirements – a school placement is required

To enrol on this NCFE Level 2 Certificate course, you must work or volunteer in a school with key stage 1 and above, as it includes observations in the classroom (nursery or reception classes are not eligible). You will need to compile a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your learning against the NCFE learning criteria.

NCFE recommends 50 hours of practical experience in the school classroom. This observation can be completed by a qualified teacher, assessor, or a higher management level. Midday and lunchtime supervisor roles don’t meet this course’s entry requirements.

  • School placement is required.
  • No formal qualifications are required.
  • You must be over 16 years of age.
  • Enrollments are open all year.
