In undertaking this unit, you will apply coaching, leadership and mentoring skills to educate and motivate staff to work effectively in partnership with others.

In this unit, you will be required to plan, implement and evaluate change in relation to an identified theme through a small-scale research project. You will be introduced to research methodology and the role of ethics when undertaking research.
The theme selected will allow you to reflect on practice, use current research to produce recommendations for improvements to your own setting, implement these recommendations and summarise your findings.
Course Entry Requirements – school placement required
To enrol on this NCFE Level 4 Advanced Practitioner course, you need to be already working or volunteering in a school at Level 3 to enrol on this Level 4 course.
NCFE recommends 100 hours of practical experience in the school classroom for between 3 – 6 hours per week. This observation can be completed by a qualified teacher, assessor, or a higher management level.
