With 310 guided learning hours, it provides learners with an in-depth understanding of the knowledge needed to work with young people and children in schools and colleges. It covers all aspects of specialist support, from planning and delivery to assessment and support. This course is perfect for those working with teachers that need support with bilingual children, special educational needs and personal development and reflective practice.

This Level 3 Diploma for specialist support in schools follows the 2021 RQF guidelines, with all of the current information and units.
You will complete the following units during this Level 3 Diploma.
As a work-placement course, assessments are carried out with both essay-based and practical assignments. Essays can be submitted online or via post, and our expert tutors will be on hand to offer constructive feedback. Practical assignments require that you work or volunteer in a school environment and need an expert witness to verify your competence. Like all of our courses, there are no exams for this course.
Our teaching assistant courses, including this Level 3 Diploma, are provided via our online learning management system. Alongside the online course materials, you’ll be supported by one of our expert and friendly tutors, who’ll be on hand to help you as you progress.
This course requires a work placement with children between the ages of 5 to 16 years of age. Nursery and reception classes fall under the EYFS framework and do not qualify for this course. We recommend that your placement provides you with between 3-6 hours in the classroom per week.
The total Guided Learning Hours for this NCFE CACH Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning is 310 hours, and you’ll get a full 12 months to complete your course. While you get 12 months, if you’d like to put in extra hours and finish sooner, you’re more than welcome to.
This is an official NCFE CACHE course that will give you an RQF qualification recognised by schools and colleges throughout the UK.
