When you are settling bilingual learners into a new environment, if possible, it can be helpful to use their preferred language. This is because it will help them to feel that the learning environment is accessible to them and develop their confidence in the new setting.
Entry Requirements – a school placement is required
To enrol in this NCFE Level 3 Diploma course, you need to be working or volunteering in a school with Key Stage 1 and above. This is because the course involves classroom observations, and nursery or reception classes aren’t suitable for this. You’ll also need to put together a portfolio of evidence to show how you’ve met the NCFE learning criteria. It’s a great way to demonstrate all the fantastic skills and knowledge you’ll gain!
NCFE CACHE requires that you complete 200 hours of practical experience in the school classroom. This observation can be carried out by a qualified teacher, assessor, or someone at a higher level of management. It’s great because you can do this in either a mainstream or special school. It’s a fantastic opportunity to put what you learn into practice!
