This course has a mix of practical assessments completed in the classroom and regular written assignments. A voluntary or paid work placement is required to complete this course, so students must be employed in a school or arrange and complete a work experience placement. We recommend you be in the school for 3-6 hours per week.
This course follows the brand new 2023 RQF school guidelines with up-to-date information. You must volunteer or work in a school classroom to enrol on this course. Please see our Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools course if you don’t have a school placement.

To enrol on this NCFE CACHE Level 3 Certificate course, you need to work or volunteer in a school with key stage 1 and above (5 years +) as it includes observations in the classroom (nursery or reception classes are not eligible).
NCFE CACHE recommends 100 hours of practical experience in the school classroom for between 3 – 6 hours per week. This observation can be completed by a qualified teacher, assessor, or a higher management level.
