- Monitoring children’s development and interventions
This unit will provide you with knowledge and understanding to support the safeguarding of children and young people.
This unit explores:
- Legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures for safeguarding children and young people
- Working in partnership with other organisations
- Protecting children and young people’s safety in a learning environment
- Respond and evidence to concerns about a child or young person’s safety
- Work with children and young people to support their well-being
This unit aims to provide you with a good understanding of how schools and colleges operate.
This unit explores:
- The structure of education from early years to post-compulsory education
- How schools and colleges are organised
- Teamwork in schools and colleges
- Educational ethos, mission and values
- Policies and procedures in education
This unit explores:
- Plan and provide environments that support children and young people’s health and safety
- Recognise and manage risks to health, safety and security
- Support children and young people to assess and manage risk for themselves
- Responding to accidents, incidents, emergencies and illness
- Assisting in the administration of medicine
Entry requirements
You don’t need any previous qualifications or school placement for this Level 3 course. You will be taught the full Level 3 Award syllabus once enrolled.

I would highly recommend this course, the course material given is excellent, it’s easy to send your work off and receive feedback, I knew my tutor was always there if I needed him too. I found the whole course very interesting and I’ve learnt loads.
So far I’m really happy, it’s easy to use and my tutor Chris has been great. I’d say you can’t really go wrong with this course, I think it’s the best on the market.
I’m almost halfway through my course & really enjoying the content. All queries are speedily replied to and my assessments marked and returned quickly.
