CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools

If you are lucky enough to be volunteering or working in a school, our Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools course will provide you with an in-depth understanding of the knowledge and skills required for working directly with children or young people in primary, secondary or special schools.. This course has a mix of practical assessments that are completed in the school classroom as well as regular written assignments. It is a fully recognised qualification that will gain you 44 credits.

A comprehensive OFQUAL learning program – Qualification 501/0476/7

This 14 module course will  give you the very best possible lessons for becoming a SEN Teaching Assistant. This course will help develop the knowledge and understanding needed to support child learning and well-being. Best of all, this NCFE CACHE course is on the RQF framework, meaning it’s fully recognised by all schools in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

This course follows the current 2021 school guidelines with up-to-date information included. You need to be volunteering or working in a school to enrol on this course. If you don’t have a school placement please see our Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools course.

Course Time-Frame – 12 months

This is a 12 month course and the Guided Learning Hours for this course are 232 hours. You will complete the course by home study working entirely at your own pace. If you would like to complete your course in under 12 months, this will be fine.

Entry Requirements – you must be working in a school for this course

This course requires a 100-hour work placement in a school with children 5 years of age and above. Nursery and reception classes fall under the EYFS framework and do not qualify for this course. We recommend that your placement provides between 3-6 hours in the classroom per week.

You must be over 16 years of age.
