Our SEN Teaching Assistant course is the only course that’s officially recognised by all schools in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. You need to be volunteering or working in a school for this course and you can enrol at any-time of the year.


This is a Home Study Course with 50 hours of practical assessment

CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (RQF)

If you are lucky enough to be volunteering or working in a school, you may want to consider our Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools course. This course has a mix of practical assessments that are completed in the school classroom as well as regular written assignments. It is a fully recognised RQF qualification that will gain you 44 credits.

A comprehensive OFQUAL learning program – RQF qualification 501/0476/7

This 14 module course will  give you the very best possible lessons for becoming a SEN Teaching Assistant. This course will help develop the knowledge and understanding needed to support child learning and well-being. Best of all, this course is on the RQF Framework and it’s also OFQUAL regulated, meaning it’s fully recognised by all OFSTED schools in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

This course follows the brand new 2018 school guidelines with up-to-date information included. You need to be volunteering or working in a school to enrol on this course. If you do not have a school placement please see our Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools course.

Your mandatory Units which ensure this course is fully recognised:RQF qualification 501/0476/7

These are the 14 Mandatory Units for the 44 credit RQF work-placement course


Course Time-Frame – 12 months

This is a 12 month course and the RQF Guided Learning Hours for this course are 232 hours. You will complete the course by home study working entirely at your own pace. If you would like to complete your course in under 12 months, this will be fine.


Course Materials – yours to keep forever

All of your course materials are provided in ‘hard copy’ i.e books so you can have all your course materials, lessons, activities and assignments to keep forever. You may write notes in your books, underline, highlight and use your books as you want. There are a total of 14 written work assignments to complete on this course and you will also need to complete practical work-based assessments at this level.


Course Delivery – next working day

We understand how eager you are to get started so we process your enrolment and dispatch your study materials as quickly as possible. Normally this will mean if your enrolment is received by 4p.m, your course is sent out by first class post and you receive it next working day. On weekends and Bank Holidays it may take a couple of extra days. If there’s any delay we’ll keep you informed. If you have not received your course after 3 working days please contact us.


Speak to Your Tutors – they’re fully qualified

Expert tutors are on hand to guide you through your course, providing feedback at every stage. Your tutor is allocated as soon as you have registered for the course and you complete your course assessment through home study assignments, with personal guidance from your tutor.


Entry Requirements – you must be working in a school for this course

This course requires no previous experience but you must be volunteering or working in a school before enrolling on this course. We recommend that your placement provides between 3-6 hours in the classroom per week.

Flexible enrolment dates – enrol at any-time of the year.

You must be over 16 years of age.


Course Fees – £595 all inclusive

Option 1: Enrol for £35 deposit and pay remaining balance on last day of the month
or
Option 2: Spread your course payment over 4 months, £148.75 a month
or
Option 3: Pay in full
