Following the announcement from the Government, we wanted to take this opportunity to update you on the proactive steps that De Montfort College is taking to support both colleagues and customers during these difficult times.
The health and well-being of our valued colleagues is paramount and with this in mind, all office based colleagues at De Montfort College will be working from home for an expected period of 18 weeks, whilst remaining fully operational and committed to providing the service you need.
We understand that you will be experiencing a great deal of disruption, and we will do all we can to minimise this and continue to provide a positive customer experience.
We will still be offering front line support, through email, at our usual opening hours Monday – Friday 9.00am – 4.00pm. You may experience some minor delays in response but please be assured we will respond to your enquiry at the earliest opportunity.
On 10 May the Prime Minister announced a roadmap towards recovery, outlining the phased return of some pupils to education settings from the week commencing 1 June 2020. Students can continue with all assignments of the work-placement courses and submit for assessment from 1 June 2020 onwards.
NCFE CACHE have also published their Awarding Guidance:Adaption and Delay policy. Commencing from 5th of June 2020, all witness testimony assignments may describe an event which is retrospective, as long as the event took place during the Learner’s registration period
For all Award qualifications, these are knowledge-based courses which are not be affected by school closures. As such, the standard course extension fees will remain in effect for all Award qualifications.
